Supported Living

Our accommodation based services support adults with learning disabilities to take up tenancies in individual flats or shared houses. The Minstead Training Project has properties in Totton and the surrounding area.

Many students from the Project have progressed to living in the community in tenancies as an individualised step for people moving on from a registered care setting.

We also provide a supported living service for individuals who have not been resident at the Project.

Our support workers

staff

..are special!

Each individual in our highly trained and experienced team is dedicated to making a difference in tenants’ lives

Each support worker understands the importance of encouraging individuals to gain further skills and independence and actively support those learning experiences.

They also understand everyone’s need to make choices for themselves about their own life and the importance of tenants receiving support to live the way they want to live.

We take pride in ensuring that we only employ professionals who are committed, friendly and caring — they must believe in what we are doing and hold a set of values that reflects the ethos of our organization.

Every person, whether staff, volunteer, student or tenant:

  • Is treated as an individual
  • Is consulted and listened to
  • Is treated with respect and dignity

All staff engage in ongoing training and continuous professional development and are subject to monitoring and review.

A Quality Service based on REACH standards

Our service and training is based on the definitive set of industry standards for Supported Living, the REACH standards.
